Morning All,

I know there is a similar thread on here but I just wanted to start a new one with more up to date information on it.

I was wondering if anyone is tempted by the Current accounts on offer at present, M&S offer £125 voucher for setting one up with them and Halifax offer a £100 switching reward but you do have to close your old account down.

Are any offers in the market enticing you at present or perhaps you've just setup a new account?

Pretty happy with Halifax getting my extra £5 a month on each of two accounts (joint with wife and personal).

I assume with any of these offers the old account must be closed first of all?

You don't have to close the old account but generally you have to let them switch all your direct debit and they will want to contact your employer directly to move your salary payments.

I know when I switched to Halifax using their system my old account had to be closed.

I have a Halifax account, any value is setting up another account that will enable me to avail of some of these offers?
