Hair loss supplements/treatments?

I've recently noticed I'm losing a large amount of hair. I have a thyroid condition and it may or may not be related to that. My GP isn't worried as I 'Still have some hair'. She says my blood tests are ok. I have been looking into supplements but I'm not sure what is best. Does anyone have any recommendations? I was also thinking of seeing a specialist about it but I'm confused as to whether a dermatologist or trichologist is best. I don't think a trichologist is a medical doctor but maybe they're more specialised for hair loss. I'd really appreciate any advice as it's very distressing.

I have recently started taking a variety as my hair is shedding about 3 times the normal amount and I am going to have a blood tests for my thyroid after speaking to the GP last week.
I am taking biotin, b vitamin complex, MSM, A,C,D vitamins and I also will start taking silica when I find it. These are basically the ingredients in hair infinity which is a popular hair supliment but expensive.0
