Has anyone had an eyelash perm?

Options
Just wondering if anyone has had this treatment. I have been using Revitalash for a few months now. Have lovely eyelashes on one eye, but the other lashes are all over the place lol.

Have tried eyelash curlers, both heated and mechanical, but to no avail. My hair dresser suggested trying an eyelash perm, but I never even knew a this treatment existed.

  • Yes I have, it was a long time ago though, I had an eyelash perm and a blue/black tint on my lashes, the first couple of days my lashes looked outstanding, they were very curly and dark, then the perm started to drop, but only on some of the lashes so a few were straight and a few were curly, it was so funny and not a good look, I would hope that things have improved since then but I wouldn't bother again, the treatment was easy but I felt rather expensive at the time, around £30 for the perm and tint I think. The tint was good, even though I have dark lashes naturally the blue/black made a big difference and lasted a good month or so.

Im a qualified beauty therapist, things have changed since previous posters experience (well i think so personally) i loved having my lashes tinted and permed.

having them permed STINKS! the soloution we used was minging, but that was only during the treatment. when youve had them permed use curlers daily to extend the life of the perm, if you get them tinted too it will make them look so much longer, people dont usually put mascara on properly because you cant see the tiny lashes and the very ends of our own as they get bleached, but when you get them tinted it gets every tiny eyelash, even covarage of the whole lash making them look fuller & longer.
if you have a training college near you it maybe worth giving them a look usually about £4-5 ish for tinting/perming.

you may have to go for a skin test before getting it done though (cant remember and it may have been because we where training)

mrsHall...do you think it will help sort out my lashes? The lashes on my right eye are lovely, it's the lashes on my left eye that grow all wonky lol.

I think I may defo have them tinted. Never thought about it before. However, since my lashes are quite long now, I think they will look good, especially if you don't need to use mascara.

Had a look at local colleges and none offer eyelash perming.

I have to be one of the worst when it comes to applying any makeup. Watched a ton of youtube tutorials, but to no avail lol.
  • I wouldn't get them permed.. It turns them back in themselves and in my opinion an old fashioned technique. I get LVL treatment done which lifts the lashes at the root therefore gives the open eye look of wearing mascara without wearing it. I also get my lashes tinted.
I believe it's the same lotionetc that's used but it's not a roller rod that's used and the lotion is applied differently.

Lots of places offer deals on LVL now I pay £20.

    Good luck .
  • Had a quick look on the internet and doesn't appear that there is a salon in my area that offers LVL lashes. I do like the sound of it tho'. Will keep looking.

I have had them, years ago. Can't say I was impressed tbh, and as someone said, it did smell. The whole process and the result really isn't something worth the hassle. Personally, I would have last extensions.
    Raven. :grinheart:grinheart:grinheart

  • raven.. I don't need lash extensions, my lashes are pretty good. Have had them a few times before haven't been impressed.

My problem is my lashes on my left eye are crisscrossing a bit and the outer lashes curl round to much. Just trying to find solutions to sorting them out.
