Yorkshire Bank

Hi,

Has anyone applied for a mortgage through Yorkshire Bank recently?

Myself and my G/F are first-time buyers and have £16.5k deposit with a view to getting a £165k mortgage. We’ve seen what we think is a good deal:

  • 3 year fixed;
  • 90% LTV and;
  • £0 application fee;
  • £500 cashback

Just wondering if anyone has any feedback on whether they are a strict Lender, how long they take to process mortgage applications etc.

Any response most appreciated.

    They are a strict and painful lender.

    Incidentally, there are other more competitive products out there.

    Really?

    I've spoken to two mortgage brokers who couldn't source a better 3 year fix deal and both stated we had a good chance of getting the mortgage with YB?
