Mortgage payment protection

I am struggling to decide whether to get payment protection (income protection and critical illness cover) for my mortgage. I was thinking about covering my mortgage (541) for the income protection.
I have six months of mortgage payments in savings and I have worked for my current employer for five years. I am single (I pay mortgage alone) and have no children. I am 32. The mortgage is 25 year term but I am planning to pay it in fifteen years.
Can anyone provide any advice? What do other single people my age have in terms of MPPI? How much does it cost?
