Hiya all (I'm new so sorry if this is posted in the wrong section)
I'm looking at getting into plastering, im moving to London at the end of the month, and I want a career change, and have that a trade specifically plastering is the one for me, only problem is that I don't really know the best way to get into it, ive booked myself onto one of the 5 day beginner courses at a local training, to get my self a feel for the job and have read up and watched all the educational DVDs under the sun etc, however I want to get out there and get some experience, I'm 24 and therefore to old for an youth trainee apprentice (and couldn't afford to live on the £200 per month wages anyway), so what I really need is a company which would take me on and give me work on the cheap (for them) and show me the ropes of the trade etc.
Can anyone advise me the best way to go about this? I will be living in Hounslow (west London area) am willing to travel, very hard working and fit etc.
Thanks.
Al.
