Does anyone have experience of remortgaging with platform?

hi yes we remortgaged with Platform via a broker and got a five year fixed rate of 3.09% we have had no problems with them. They sent out a yearly mortgage statement and we can make overpayments as well.:D

Hi, have a current mortgage with Platform and looking to port the mortgage to a new property. Was told have to go through the mortgage affordability again and credit score . As long as things look ok then you'll be fine

Thanks Princess. When you remortgaged did you have to resubmit paperwork or was it just simply moving to a new deal? (I've been made redundant an desperately need a new fixed rate with them as the variable us going to crucify me and I'll have to sell)

A remortage is where you get a new mortgage from another lender on your property and pay off the mortgage with your current lender. It doesn't sound to me like you are remortgaging. It sounds to me like the mortgage deal you currently have with Platform not the mortgage is soon to come to its end. So you want a new deal with them. I'm not sure if you have to go through the whole affordability assessment to get a new deal. I hope not as being made redundant means you have no income. Someone else with experience of MMR/ affordability will be along to share experience I hope. Good luck.

My redundancy insurance policy), would be great if they could use that
