I have gained so much positivity from this site and it's great to see that so many of us are doing our very best to reach a debt free future.
When I first posted I was 40K ish in debt and whilst I could afford to pay, the shame and worry was dragging me down. Reading other peoples stories on here has made such a difference and I now feel so positive about my debts.
I would almost go as far as saying that living on a budget is enhancing our life. My attitude to money has changed so much and I don't need the unnecessary spending any more. We have also started to appreciate the simple 'free' things such as sitting watching a movie eating a homemade cottage pie or taking our lovely little lad to the park for a run about.
I am certainly no financial role model and I am sure that there will be peaks and troughs along the way but we WILL get there!
I still owe close to 40K as it's early days for me but I know that I will be debt free in 30 months.
