Ex employer not paying holiday pay.

Not sure if anyone can help!
I started work with a company on the 12th may 2014 and left on the contract end date 1st oct 2014 giving my boss two weeks notice but my contract states I must give 4 weeks notice. I worked on average 18 hours per week which totalled 306.25 hours which includes 4 hours bank holiday. I haven't been paid but he angrily sent me my P45 and he is only going to pay £170 holiday pay.
I calculated on HMRC website that my holiday pay should be around £255. Can anyone help?

Forgetting what hours you worked, what hours were you contracted to? As that is what holiday pay is calculated on.:jI am an Employment Law Paralegal and an experienced Human Resources Manager and offer my guidance as simply that ... guidance :j0

Contact Citizens Advice, and then go through ACAS.
Basically your ex employer will have to pay, otherwise the next step is a tribunal and you will win and he will have to pay more.
You are entitled to your 4 weeks notice pay, and all your holiday pay.
Use your average hours worked to get your extra 2 weeks notice pay and claim for that aswell.
you have a window of 3 months to contact ACAS. I recently did it and only contacted them a week before the deadline, and I now have my holiday pay.0 -

How do you reason that the OP is entitled to 4 weeks notice pay? They only gave their employer 2 weeks notice of quitting.0 -
