Holiday Question. Help appreciated

Basically, yesterday my gfs work phoned her and told her that she would have to take day off as the shop had some flooding. Her boss offered her to use one of her holiday days. She said yes so she would still be paid.

Today they phoned again saying that it could be upto 10 days before the shop reopens and have said she can use the 8 days holiday she has remaining and rest days after that to cover the 10 days.

My question is, can she say she doesn't want to use her holidays and if she doesnt have to use holidays is she entitled be paid? I feel that because it is not her fualt she can't work and that it is her employers fualt that she should be paid without having to use holidays.

If she is entitled pay what is she entitled to? (she has a 30 hour contract but works 45 every week). She has also offered to go to work and work in other areas outside of the shop but has been told she's not needed but they will offer her hours if cover is needed.
