Santander valuation time scale

Does anyone know how long Santander are taking to carry out survey/ valuations at the moment?
Mortgage offer (subject to valuation/ survey) was issued on Friday, but not sure what time scales we are looking at for full offer.
Also, do Santander often issue retentions? I know there is a bit of a damp on one wall and I am hoping this isn't going to be an issue.
