I do pay for a mortgage depleting life insurance (don't know the correct name) which I believe would pay for the mortgage and he would get the full property or vice versa
In whose name was this cover written, sole or joint? Current partner or ex?

    In trust?

    Have you made a will?

The cover is in both names, it was part of the terms of the mortgage with NR. I pay for this each month around £10 as I live in the house.

The house goes to other partner I believe this was signed when house purchased with solicitors information however I am not 100% sure on this.

No Will, never thought of one.

Due to all this situation above would it be better to basically sell up get a clean slate and rent for the time being as I believe we are still going to get complications in the future such as SVR going up etc.

Well hopefully (touch wood) at 33 I won't be dying anytime soon.

I didn't wish to sound morbid! Over the years I have lost good friends and work colleagues of all ages at unexpected times . So the legalities need to be in place. Or it can cause unintended consequences for those left behind.
