Hi was just wondering if anyne can help me, what it is is i have left my recent job and i had to go onto benefits till i found another job so i was wondering can my previous employers be liable for the outstanding balance of rent arrears as i have tryed on many many occasions to get them to send me out my P45 but they do not reply to me emails or calls?
I need the P45 to completed my housing benefit without it i wont get it.

If you provide written evidence of the payslips and your emails requesting it, then the housing office should process your claim.
And no, the employer is not responsible for the balance of arrears.Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....

So long as you completed the claim form on time, your housing benefit ? LHA will eventually be backdated from the beginning of your claim.0
