Sorry guys I really need a hand here and no-one's replying. My SOA is in the thread above, first post.
We are £1000 down for July from Dad's income due to the weather, he hardly got any work done.
I don't know what to do

Hi Gemmzie - I have had a quick look through your other thread - I assume that your father is self-employed and his work is 'weather dependent' (you probably already said this in your main thread, but I just scanned through).
I assume that the bank won't help, so I suggest that you have a quick word with CAB or CCCS - they may suggest that you make only a token payment on the mortgage and secured loan.
Again, forgive me, if I've missed anything (the other thread is quite long) - is your dad already on a DMP? If so, who with, and has he/you contacted them for advice yet?I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

400 is a lot to spend on food, could you try a store cuboard challenge and use up the contents of the freezer and cuboards?
Could you cut Sky down a bit and maybe reduce the phone bill?
There is a fair bit of money in the Gemma and Mathew keep bit so could you do without that for one month?
Any chance the mortgage company would let you pay the interest only on for the next two months?
I really hope you can sort things out!Debt Free - done

Hi Gemmzie - I have had a quick look through your other thread - I assume that your father is self-employed and his work is 'weather dependent' (you probably already said this in your main thread, but I just scanned through). Yes he's self employed as a double glazing fitter / conservatories etc but it's weather dependent as people don't like their houses getting wet!
I assume that the bank won't help, so I suggest that you have a quick word with CAB or CCCS - they may suggest that you make only a token payment on the mortgage and secured loan. No HSBC are quite useless, I will phone National Debtline tomorrow
Again, forgive me, if I've missed anything (the other thread is quite long) - is your dad already on a DMP? If so, who with, and has he/you contacted them for advice yet? Yes, he's on a DMP, I'm administrating it myself

Can I ask, how were all these debts accrued? Has the money gone into assets? If so could those assets be sold to bring down the debt?0

I won a mince cook book from British lamb over the weekend (one of 1300) I only just remembered to update my signature though!
I agree Mondays and Fridays should be non work days!
The best immediate savings I would think would be the food and clothes as those are the only things that I would guess would change immediately as even if Sky was cancelled the bill this month would probably stay the same, although I would ask on one of the boards about getting a better Sky/internet/phone deal as that seems a bit high.Debt Free - done

Could you cut Sky down a bit and maybe reduce the phone bill? We are going to get Sky Broadband so the phone will drop to £15, Sky needs to be reduced I agree but he won't allow it
There is a fair bit of money in the Gemma and Mathew keep bit so could you do without that for one month? That's an income - it's mine and my brother's keep/rent payments. Mine is less because they get CTC and Child Benefit for me still
Any chance the mortgage company would let you pay the interest only on for the next two months? I could ask
