Defaults on credit rating

Hi, any advice welcome please.
I've got 9 defaults on my credit report from when me and ex split. They are all due to drop off in May next year. However I am now in a position to offer full and final settlements to the creditors.
I did this about a week ago and all have said no. I offered them 50% and said it was from a third party. I am able to pay them off in full, but don't know if is the next step :-( . I am currently on a dmp with payplan
I'm worried if I pay them off in full, will the defaults still drop off my credit report ?
Don't want to do anything to stop them dropping off. Someone said they will go back on my account for another 6 years if I settle them ?
Anyone know the answer please ?

Hi they don't go back on - you just have paid your debt! lots of people have successfully got lower lump sum payments just try it again or keep on paying. Most importantly GOOD LUCK!!
