JBW enforcement while benefit sanctioned ?

I've recently been sent an enforcement letter for council tax arrears - problem is I've also had my JSA sanctioned for 3 months - I can't even pay all my rent now let alone taxes - has anyone been in this situation?
How do they get money out of people that are on sanctions if there is no income and no possessions of value ?

Yes I've been in that situation before. You tell them you can't afford it and they ask several more times. If you want to prove it show them your benefit letter and copies of your bank statements showing the money coming in. You don't have to though it's up to you.
Eventually they give up and return the debt to the council who can take further action but if you seriously cannot afford it nothing else happens.:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.
