No wage slips

I have only received one wage slip from my employer this year. I am getting a bit worried. I checked with Inland Revenue that my tax is being paid. It is, but I don't know if it is the correct amount as I don't know which tax code they are using. I also need to check separately for National Insurance.
Every time I ask for wage slips I am told by my employer that they haven't got round to it or they just haven't been printed yet. I can not afford a massive tax bill next year because my employer hasn't paid the correct amount of tax.
I don't know what to do
Will the tax office give me this info if I write to them? I haven't had much luck on the phone with them but I'm not sure I was speaking to the right person.

They have to give you payslips on or before your pay date

It's not at all reasonable for the tax office to stand in for what your employer should be doing. You can ask the tax office to confirm your tax code though.
Are you being paid in cash or Bacs/bank transfer ?0 -

This is your employers issue not yours.
You are entitled by law to be provided with a payslip at or before the point of wage payment.

so far, so good, but what recourse does the OP have as clearly they are not getting payslips! The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -

A chat with the appropriate individual letting them know one is aware of the state of play regarding the continuing situation, ultimately prosecuting a grievance if no joy.Don’t be a can’t, be a can.0
