House extension in East Lothian - recommendations?

Can anyone recommend builders, joiners, glazers, etc etc for house extension (modern suburban semi-det)?

Oh and someone to draw up the plans.

I don't know where to start with this one .... yet

We moved about 2 years ago and I know that then in some parts of East Lothian there were so many new houses being built it was impossible to get good builders, joiners etc 'cos they were all working on the developments. Not sure what its like now but our local most recommended building firm wasn't taking on anything new for 18 months at that point. We haven't had that scale of work done so can't recommend anyone but it might be worth asking on local community websites for recommendations, I know North Berwick and Dunbar both have them and am sure other places will have too....

Amazingly talented designer, draughtsman, furniture-maker with years of experience in conversions & extensions. You'll get an artist-type sensitivity to design and someone who has very good relationships with Council and local trades.
