Adding new panels to existing inverter

It really depends which part of the roof we put panels on.
The extension would go to the left on this picture so it would probably only get 2kWp there. We've not got panels on the lower roof as it was getting shaded earlier (as in the photo) but it might be worth getting some there as well as extension with new inverter as we are doing so well with the existing ones.
As you say, lots to think about!
If you want to add further panels, I would keep it a separate installation to your existing, if you believe you can fit 2kw on the extension, it may be worth considering 2kw on the low 1 storey roof you have in that photo. Obviously it appears there is some shading but the cost of a few extra panels isn't usually too high..and obviously depends on the level of shading. Just run it on a separate string.
So in theory you could have your existing 3kw install.
A new install, with 4kwp, 2kw on 1 string, 2 kw on the other.0
