toffee vodka question

I have made some toffee vodka using wethers which have dissolved nicely but on the top of the vodka is a cloudy sediment which doesn't look very nice. Do I need to filter it somehow or do you just shake it before drinking?

You could try filtering it, maybe through a coffee filter. That's what I did when I made skittles vodka.0

I'm sure I read muslin cloths were good for this too:starmod:If you dance with the devil, the devil don't change. The devil changes you:starmod:0

Hi, I made this last year for Christmas, I filtered mine through coffee filters to get rid of the stuff that sits on top (which I think is the fat from the sweets) I just used a funnel and place a coffee filter inside and poured a bit at a time in, it takes a while to filter through. I changed the filters now and then because they got clogged with the sediment after a little while. It came out a gorgeous clear toffee colour. Good luck!

Eta; you don't have to filter it, I've made a few times and personally find its better to filter it rather than having to shake it each time you want a drink.I'm usually using a phone, so excuse my spelling please!0 -
If I were to make this as a Christmas present. When would be the best time to make it!? Is now too soon?:starmod:If you dance with the devil, the devil don't change. The devil changes you:starmod:0

You can make it now if you want, I've got some left from last year and it's still good! I think it gets a little more sugary as time goes by, just makes it easier to get drunk with!I'm usually using a phone, so excuse my spelling please!0
