Dmp and mobile phone upgrade

Hi I'm on a dmp with stepchange, , my phone is up for upgrade next month just a cheap contract , will I still be able to upgrade being on a dmp ..had my contract over 5 years never missed a direct debit

    I did no hassles while i was on mine, even changed networks and the credit check went through fine.

    However you should be looking to reduce your outgoings and coming out of contract should allow you to do that

    Hi Glen my phone is £10 a month capped no fancy phone .just didn't want to be embarrassed by being declined due to dmp

    Understandable, I was a year into my DMP, defaults etc all registered but went through ok, much to my surprise and i was getting a new fancy phone etc
  • upgraded my phone twice since starting our DMP, and so has my wife..
    once you pass the initial credit check they never do one again!!

    OP, you are NOT credit checked for mobile phone upgrades.
    Only for new contracts.
    You can upgrade online straight away, there is no credit check so it will go straight though regardless of your financial circumstances.
