I wanna...know if i can combine Egg cashback with Quidco

hello.

Egg card is currently offering 7% instant cashback for purchases from Dixons.

i have spotted a TV i would like that is listed at £410.00.

i can use a discount code to take off £10.00 and then there's 4% quidco and 7% Egg cashback.

i was wondering if any MSE'rs had managed to combine Quidco and Egg for cashback?

i am guessing that strictly speaking you should go through Egg links, but i am sure i have read that people go via quidco and simply pay with their Egg card and get the cashback!!

can anyone confirm?

also what is meant by Egg by "instant cashback"? does it get added to your normal cashback figure or is it refunded at the end of current month?

thank you.

pfpf.

No you can't - to get the egg instant cashback you must follow the referral link from the egg site. Instant cashback appears on your statement next to the purchase transaction. And you'll get the usual 1% cashback on top. So 8% discount in total.

You absolutley can do this, you don't need to click through the Egg links to get the Egg Cashback. Go via Quidco and then pay with your Egg card. I did this at Xmas this year when i bought 2 XBOX HD DVD drives from Dixons and received cash back from both.

We recently bought a TV and got cashback from both. We went through the Quidco link and then paid using Egg.

the answer is yes and no!

Yes you can do both if your just getting standard egg cashback, but for any special offers they have, such as the current one for dixons, you need to go via the egg link so can't get quidco cashback.

    hope that helps

it's worth posting the type of tv your after, people will usually have a look and let you know if ther's a better/cheaper way of doing it

Remember the code for £10 off over £300 as well. It is 10JULYAW and is valid till 31st July

    Found this code at http://www.dixons.co.uk/martprd/editorial/affiliatewindow/?camp_id=CantBarsed.com

ahh, this would explain the opinions above.

this is the set i am looking at,

and think with the various discounts, even exc. Quidco Dixons are the cheapest. another £16.00 via quidco would have been nice though :o

    thank you.

check out tribal uk it's £397 (incl delivery) starting price, then use discount codes here around £10 and 2.75% cashback with quidco, (or 1590 ipoints worth about £8) £376 total spend

or homecinematv for a flat price of £383 with no discount codes.

you'll have your standard egg cashback on top of each.

nothing amazingly cheaper than you found thou

Sorry mate, but that's wrong, the answer is yes! If you shop at Dixons with your Egg Money Card online without even touching the Egg site you get the full bonus.

Here's the statement from my purchase in December... 2 XBOX HD-DVD Drives from Dixons

    from Egg

    08 Dec 2006 DIXONS ONLINE 4940 HEMEL H/STEAD GB high street & web - miscellaneous £269.97 DR
08 Dec 2006 INSTANT CASH BACK £13.50 CR

    And from Quidco

    07 Dec 2006 13:22:44 Dixons 269.97 6.75 paid28 Feb 2007
That was when there was an instant 5% Cashback offer with Dixons on the EGG site.

So £20.25 back for that, what was even better though was reselling each of the drives on Ebay for £220 odd each :)
