Two Loan Enquiries
Options
Hi All,
I'd just like to get a quick opinion on something. For the first time in my life I am looking to get a personal loan and phoned up First Direct, gave them some details and then got a quote and rate which I was accepted for but didn't really like. This is conditional on me providing payslips etc. I haven't sent anything off, nor have I signed anything and I don't intend to but I'm assuming this will appear on my credit history.
I then got a quick quote and rate from who I bank with on the same day, Nationwide, which was much better and I had absolutely no trouble getting. I have banked with them for 9 years+ and they obviously know my history better than anyone. I decided to take out this loan and apparently the funds will be credited in the next two or three days.
However, what I'd like to know is might the First Direct application impact on my loan application with Nationwide? I just saw it as shopping around but a a little worried that the First Direct enquiry appearing on my credit check might impact funds being released to me through Nationwide. Or am I being overly paranoid?
Thanks in advance,

If Nationwide have already approved you then they have already credit checked you. It'll be fine :beer:0

Yer, I thought I was probably being overly paranoid. You just worry about what goes on your credit file these days.
Thanks. :j0
