    Hi Jon,

    Have you started a spending diary? I found that useful too, as it showed where I was doing un-necessary spends that I could reduce and save little bits here and there.
    Also, have you got/started an emergency fund so that rather than using CC's to pay for the unexpected things, you have the emergency fund to fall back on.

    The vertex website is full of spreadsheets that you may find useful. YNAB (you need a budget) is a budgeting tool that many on here use and swear by. You have to buy the software, but you get a free 32(?) day trial period to see how it works for you. They do tutorials as well to help you get the most from it.
    If you do decide to buy after the trial period, keep an eye out for special deals on Steam where it can be purchased at a very low price.
