in Loans
in August 2007 i took out a loan on a 7 year term. repayments were £260pm and i have managed to keep this from my other half for this whole time.
the last payment is due next month and i cant wait.
the elation i have been feeling for the last 6 months is wonderul knowing i have seen it out, not refinanced (as i have done several times in my life) and in no hurry to get another.
just thought i'd let you all know that taking a loan to refinance may seem good at the time - and may be the only option for some- but DAMN!!!! it feels soooo good knowing you are now going to have some spare money in the bank/pocket for the finer things in life.
i may even start to over pay a little on my mortgage and reduce that a bit too :j

Ooohhh, I don't envy you having that over your head for the last 7 years! Well done on getting it shifted, nice bit of self-discipline.0

But this is outrageous, you should be claiming it was all mis-sold, they should never have lent it to you and be claiming all the payments back plus compo.0

Well done OP, you are that 1 person in about 1000 that sees a refince loan through without racking up many other debts and needing a further refinance.
Actually its probably 1 person in 10000, be very proud, and when that evil loan finishes keep paying the monthly amount, but into a savings account, and build up a fund so you will never have to borrow again EVER!!0 -
Well done, but is it wise to keep debts like this hidden from your other half?I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Personal choice, and it's nearly done. Wisdom or not, the OP has almost cleared it.
