Can I just ask why do I have to sign on every week but other people I know are every 2 weeks. Not complaining just wondered

my son is 25 and he has to sign on every week too ... it started after he was sanctioned for completing his job search in his book rather than online as he had trouble logging into his jobsearch account. Has the OP been sanctioned at any time?
I do not have a short attention sp .....oooh shiney!! :)

I would say he had been sanctioned for not logging on to uj rather than being sanction for logging his job searh in the booklet they provide.

You don't need to apply for any jobs on uj you just need to let them see you have been logging in regularly.

    Hi Claudia,
The sign-on rules may vary from office to office, i've just got home from signing on for the first time and they told me they have a weekly system and need to come back each Thusday. And i'm 61.

  • This might get me into some trouble - could it be dress code?! or could it just be there are to many claimants/caseloads per JC? so if you know what your doing or if you get the attention you need that is all that matters - (!!big note to self here!!) nah seriously, your right try not to think about why, some things just aren't worthy

Good deeds like charity helping seems to be a factor, caught a nasty one the other week on Saints & Scroungers, elderly fella selling poppys for a couple of days saw a sanction of 6 weeks - wrong, wrong, wrong  just goes to show - jeez you definitely have to look after self out there x

Perhaps they've found out about your rental income and asset in the property & are checking up on you a bit more:

    Cheers!
