Is this debt unenforcable?

I've had an on going issue with RBS for many years in relation to a large loan that I had defaulted on. I've been repaying this and also successfully reclaimed PPI from it too. However, alongside this large loan I had, there was a smaller one of which I have no idea what it was for, I have asked on several occasions, but it was never answered, until recently when I had a review of my payments and I finally got an answer sent in a letter.

They advised me that they couldn't find any paperwork for this loan, but could tell me the account number, sortcode, date of opening and the original amount, this was not a loan I defaulted on and did say that perhaps it was an overdrawn account, but that I had no idea.

So can I question the enforceability of this loan?

Or does anyone have any other advice, the larger loan dates back to about the same time, which I am not trying to get out of by any means and I do have the original paperwork for this, but not for the smaller amount.
Thanks to all the competition posters.
