Can you get some work, even if at times when Oh is at home, so that you have some regular income coming in?

Sorry but what century does your OH boss live in. There is no way he should just pay your OH when he feels like it! No wonder it is difficult to budget. I would strongly suggest that your OH looks for other work. Or can he explain that impact that this wayward payment system is having on his family?

Will you be able to go to work as well? If childcare is an issue could you do an evening job so that OH looks after your little one whilst you work? Even if it was just until the debt was paid, it would make an enormous difference to your debt free date.

If you can't commit to continuous work, the mystery shopping thread might be for you. Lots of companies listed on there. Or there are online surbey sites, that pay in vouchers or money. Not a lot, but it is easy money to earn, I get about another £20 month from it!

best of luck with sorting your debts.

    Hi poppyjay

Contact either of these two charities www.payplan.com or www.cccs.co.uk and explain to them your circumstances and ask them if you would qualify for an IVA (Individual Voluntary Agreement).

You could get up to half of your debt written off, and in five years time you would be debt free.
