Dropping out of a course - money

Hi,
I have been to one lesson on an adult learning course and have decided that its not for me. So I want to drop out. I was planning on getting an adult learning 24+ loan to pay for this course.
I have found out today that Ive not yet applied for my student loan anyway. There has only been one lesson. Will they make me pay for the full course? Can they make me? Im really worried that I will have to pay £2K for something that I really have no interest in.
Thanks

You need to read the terms and conditions for the course to see when cancellation is allowed and what payment is required. You may be lucky and find that they allow cancellation with no charge within a set time from the start of the course (although they might not), but you're the one with the information available to you, not us.0

So if it says in the FAQs that courses are not refundable apart from in exceptional circumstances I will have to pay then?Current Aims: Laptop/PC, decent money, holiday

Seems a bit bonkers you're giving up after only 1 class, especially after committing £2K to it.
Who is the course provider, a local college or a training company?Hope over Fear. #VoteYes0 -

They definitely can't make you go!
But yes, if you've agreed to pay for the place, then you may need to (but you do need to check what you signed up for). After all, they are not likely to be able to find someone else to pay for the place now the course has started.0 -

Well I wasn't sure what I wanted to do and thought what could happen if I gave it a go. Now Im dreading the thought of it and my anxiety levels have hit the roof again. Thanks for your ever so lovely reply.
Also Ive not actually paid yet.

Well how do you expect us to know what the answer is when we don't know what the course is or where it's taking place? As I say, you're the one with that information, if you don't understand it then post on here what it says and I'm sure somebody will try to interpret it for you, but it won't be me after your slew of responses.0 -
It's a pity they can't help with your manners. People try to help and you abuse them.zombieslayer25 wrote: »Yes I am bonkers, hence why I see a therapist about my mental health0
