Boots Xmas job interview

Anyone else had one of these this year?
Any idea of what to expect?
I have not worked for 4 years due to a number of factors, one of which was ill health.
But I have finally got a diagnosis and am on medication. The job is under 20 hours as I know I couldn't do full time. Do I have to tell them any of this?

Maybe not at interview stage but you may have to disclose any medical issues or medication to ensure your own and co workers safety of you get the job for instance if you are on medication that makes you drowsy therefore you may not be able to operate some types of machinery or it would cause problems if you had to work alone, this would enable your employers to do a risk assessment.
Some employers and I would imagine Boots would do this will ask you to sign a contract that allows them to contact your GP, however they must include your rights under the DPA access to medical records this means you have the right to see any information your GP gives BEFORE its sent to your employer, your GP must comply with this, however be warned although you can instruct your GP to remove information that you don't want your employer to see he/she will inform your employer that you have requested information be denied to them and they may draw their own conclusions as to why you have done so.
Any information that an employer requests from a GP should as far as I know only relate to your fitness for the job in question and not your full medical history including the boil on your bum and the embarrassing itchy discharge you had 10 years ago.
This may seem intrusive but an employer does have a duty of care to you and your fellow employees.
You also as I understand it have the right to know under the DPA who has access to your medical history and how it is stored0 -
I had an interview last week for a Xmas customer assistant post, also part time hours.
Usual questions asked: why do you want to work for Boots? Tell me about when you worked well in a team? Give me an example of when you gave excellent customer service.
Was then taken onto the shop floor and was asked what product I would recommend to a teenager whose hair had lost its shine.
Then I had to 'sell' the product I had chosen to speak about so I just gave a description and spoke of its benefits. I then had to approach customers asking if they wanted to buy this product. This is to see that you are confident in approaching and speaking to customers, it doesn't matter if you don't manage to sell at this point.
Lastly, I was taken to an aisle and was left for 5mins and I tidied it up and made sure labels matched correctly to products.
I was offered a post then and there so I must have done something right and I have no previous experience in retail.
Good luck!As my Mum always said "Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves"0
