Hey folks,

Having a few problems with my gearbox, can anyone recommend a decent and honest mechanic or garage in Holywood or East Belfast?

Due to the nature of the problem, it would be beneficial if they could recover the car.

You could try Ian he has a garage on Greenville Street off the Beersbridge Road. Always very fair with us.Miriam

DM Motors on the Beersbridge Road (near Cyprus Avenue). They've been doing all our car maintenance since they opened up there and are reliable and fairly priced.

Are there any that will actually bring the car to the MOT centre?

DM Motors does...they do it for us every year. Costs about £30 I think.

I use hillfoot autos on the knock duel carriageway. they have always been fair with me and have always given me an honest view on the state of my car. maybe im lucky but ive never had any problems with the service there.

I've used Hillfoot in the past as well with no issues. Now I use a guy who does them out of his house, but he's semi-retired so not taking on any new business.
