Completed 2 Years Work Programme , What Next?

I have completed 2 years work programme (a4e), and also completed my 6 months back at the job centre with general advisor appointments.
Does anyone know what next? My advisor has now told me that because I have completed my 6 months after going on the work programme, all I have to do now is just sign on every 2 weeks, with no more appointments!?
Surely I am going to have more appointments and not just sign on?

Mandatory work activity.
Is there no prospect of you securing work soon? Retailers are taking on Christmas staff at the moment.0 -

Possibly not. They've tried all they can, you've not got a job, they may well feel it's not worth their efforts to keep trying.
Probably a good idea to get yourself seasonal work for the next few months, and turn your attentions back to your main choice come January.0 -
Dear Ykay
Surely the question is not to ask what the JCP will do for you but what you will do for yourself.
I am asuming that you have now been job-seeking for at least 3 and a half years. You need a PLAN. You need a DIRECTION. You need to CHANGE.
Choose a job goal that you ( perhaps with JCP assist ) can get vocational training in - aim for L2 - and you can get work exp ( volunteering ) in. Examples are retail, care assistant, warehousing, catering assistant.
You need to start thinking strategically, think long-term - not 2 weeks ahead but 6 months.
It has ever been the case that the only person that is going to get you a job is YOU.
Good luck0 -

They already tried to put me on that when I had my 6 months after Work Programme but I already had enough experience so they left it.
How would they put me on it if I don't have an advisor anymore?0 -
Who knows.
Now how is that job search going?0
