Think I/we need to do some weighing of bags of fruit in M - on quite high prices (compared to fruit elsewhere, which may or may not be comparable) at the moment, so no good for Avs M for example. The Conference Pears packs may be around 600g in M nowadays (:(were around 800g, paying a lot more nowadays for our fruit), but I'm shying off those now that A have gone up from 57p to 77p.

We have Kids Pears 650g in A at 74p:eek:. Wonder if M's "Just for Kids" Pears pack at £1.29 compares vs that? It isn't "just" for kids btw, I have them too when on a far better price, just a marketing trick I feel in order to charge more sometimes on ones that aren't labelled "Kids" and have adults buying those because they assume the Kids ones are just for kids when in fact, at other times, they may be better priced than the implied-by-omission:D "adult" pears. I'm being cynical. In other words, whether adult or child, always look around every single time you go and switch and switch and switch types - do not assume that any that were cheaper before still are etc.

Also A's 550g "Kids" apples at 96p:eek::eek:_pale_:rotfl:. But wonder if M's Kids allegedly "Smart" apples that claim to be "fun"size but with, because they are smaller, are definitely not "fun" in my view, at £1.29 would compare to such a ridiculous price (probably upping if they are higher weighted)? M's weight range of 20% is quite "generous" though. Not necessarily in the sense of generosity, more in the sense of wideness and perhaps liable to scoop up a lot more as comparable, at more expensive price elsewhere, and lose points:( (cynic!:D).

In the supermarket world, the words may mean the opposite of what they say. I think that's people generally quite often though:laugh:. But - yeah - everything is there as an "advertisement", even in mere presence of some item being in a store, in order to say to us "buy me". And, like all advertisements, it is there to portray itself in the best light. In other words, maybe the adage "all advertising is misleading" as it, by definition, gives a one-sided view, one that portrays it in a good light. The wording of product names. Everything. Even apples being called Golden "Delicious". It's always been there! So, if something has the word "Smart" in it's name, that too is a suggestion and is their own choice of word - so, in my view, allegedly "smart" until I obtain and have complete and absolute proof (when does anyone ever have that?) to show that it actually is "smart". In my view, products that cost lots of money, compared to possibly alternatives of which I am aware elsewhere, are not "smart" purchases at all. Kids "smart" apples at £1.29 (I think that may be msm though, as they could now actually be called "just for kids" apples - even though in my view they aren't that!) are not smart in my opinion when, for example, 2x Gala Apples packs at 2 for £1.50 and therefore 75p each (albeit having to buy two) may be more weight per pack than one pack of kids "smart" at £1.29. They might not mean "smart" in that way though - who knows what they mean?!?:rotfl:

At the end of the day, they call things what they call them, and there is no suggestion of any trade descriptions or consumer protection (or any other) offence. It's all perfectly legal IMO (fwiw).

    Good luck!
