    Nice avatar :)

Thank you :) I do like my poppies at this time of year. I've even got late real ones in pots for outside this year. Planted the seeds late and grew them inside ready for Remembrance Day. If my timing is right, they should flower at the right time.

Well, I overslept:eek::eek: (a sign of me overworking perhaps and too many late nights?, but never mind:rotfl:), and I therefore reordered the Morries I was going to go to. I was originally going to travel out(:o) to one as a main store, but instead...anyway...

(Although - that one I travelled out to was quite a lucrative store as the nearby A to it was that one that had quite a few good wombles on that Wednesday lunchtime so, I didn't get as many today as route not taking me past there at lunchtime, but they fluctuate in any event.)

As usual, just when I think it's not worth bothering with the Wednesday as can't possibly be that much change just two days after the last check, I find lots of new things that I didn't last time and several more 'extra points' items to check, that I didn't have last time but probably were there and just noticing them as further ones now, in a piecemeal collection:rotfl:...

Ones to catch you out as well if trying to compare to M. I noticed several price increases in the fruit & veg. area (and elsewhere) - the 1.2Kg carrots (they were at 49p) have gone and the 1Kg:( carrots are now back and at 69p:eek::(:(:(:(. So the 1Kg carrots in A (and for that matter in T) may now lose money once again on vs M. Anyway, the 1Kg A ones are Avs Sains at the moment anyway (57p vs 60p not 10% cheaper), so you wouldn't ever be using them vs M would you?!?:rotfl:

And..hold on...it's possible the horrid, expensive 1Kg carrots in M may be Mvs Aldi at 49p. However, even if it that worked, and now seeing you spending and giving £15 to M:(, and difference of 20p in points could not be used until it made an exact £5, it would still be 'same price' in M for getting 200g less:(. Nonetheless, it's better than Avs S subject to paying with wombles wiping out paying with real money. So, unless you are using wombles in A and not paying real cash, just get the 1Kg carrots in Aldi at 49p and don't bother with Mvs Aldi in my view! When is that 20p, even if it worked, and bearing in mind the 1Kg carrots are newly back in M so are they back onto the Match & More price system and will they pick up 1Kg carrots in Aldi and what day of the week are M using to check, when is the 20p in Match points ever going to make a round, exact £5?

I notice 1Kg carrots in A (wombles only) are apparently also Avs W now, for those outside of the Northern Ireland APG check system.

I have another couple of stories from M, probably a little later, about various ordinary shoppers and their 'savviness' - or otherwise.
    So, stand by for that!:D

I'm not really going to mention much - but will start changing "the List".

But, here's a potential very good one (or two) in M:

    :j:j:j

Comfort Fabric Conditioner Tropical Burst 1.5L 42 washes
Comfort Fabric Conditioner Blue Skies 1.5L 42 washes

    Each is £3.25 in M. And with 1000 points:T:j.
So, £1 in points. And then... we hope

Price match vs Asda at £2!:T:T:j:beer:

Making them £1 each - for a 42 washes Fabric Conditioner.

Given that my trigger (don't get excited, it's not in that context;):D) on a 85 washes Comfort is £3, that £1 is an excellent effective price indeed (85 washes are 3L so why is 42 washes, which is slightly less than half, still 1.5L?).

Of course, it doesn't actually 'make them' £1, they still always cost you £3.25 and see you giving that to M and any difference or points back is always in points not cash that sees you committed to using them in M. And you have to amass round £5s.

But...that nasty womble killer - my knowledge about these 42 wash Comforts actually came from the APG and the unwelcome £2 vs £3.25:mad: comparisons on there losing me quite a lot in the last few weeks, grrr!!:mad::rotfl: - is transformed into a very good item to buy in M and price match them to A's £2 and take the £1 worth of More points on the products!

Perhaps with things like the Crisp N Dry Veg Oil 2L - you know, all the usual APG womble killers - £3.59 M vs £2.00 A. No extra points for that:(, but usual 10p/100ml guide price and Veg Oil in M is tending to be more expensive than my guide price, M do seem generally more expensive on Veg Oils than elsewhere, so they do deserve to be price-matched to someone else's cheaper pricing in my view. Why are people buying the 1L Crisp n Drys in M when they are one and a half times the price per unit?

Now, I know the shelf pricing says 15p/100ml on the 1L and 18p/100ml on the 2L but, come on, surely they should know to buy the 2L ones as they are £2 elsewhere (in A!) and therefore cheaper on a Match & More shop vs Mr A.:rotfl::rotfl: "Works out" at 10p/100ml! Yet the 1Ls, with their expensive M offer of £1.50 on them, very depleted in my store today!:(:rotfl:

As usual, I've gone off track now and can't remember what I was supposed to be mentioning next...:rotfl::rotfl:

Er, ah yes... the loose broccoli, I have them in one M now at £2.29/kg:eek::eek:_pale_. They were £1.39/kg and, although A is £1.39/kg and not 10% cheaper (not much news about that last aspect:D, they're often not 10% cheaper on a lot of comparable products vs one competitor or another, on the individual items, and often same price) - they have not to my knowledge compared on A vs M and therefore were always Avs T £1.40/kg in any event. Other M store I checked afterwards, has them at £1.39/kg, but suggestion they may have gone up according to the price seen in the earlier store, so probably avoid anyway and just stick to Avs T. Lose much of the 10% off that if trying to compare Mvs A - assuming they have increased in price - or maybe  if indeed they are £2.29/kg but your store happens to have £1.39/kg still on them, then Mvs A, Match & More, then off to CS, as charged more than SEL on them and cash refund to £1.39/kg price. Good luck on that one (maybe they see you have been awarded points:eek:). More likely they fail to notice the price per kg. meant you had overpaid (of course, only if they actually go through at more than £1.39/kg price). And, as usual, :(I don't go behind what the SELs actually say, unless I get consistent rubbish in several stores over a number of collection days.

Also problem with the 4 pack frozen Birds Eye Chickens today. Not completely clear which of them are £1.62 price and which, if any, are £3.25. You are aware that these are Tvs M items of course for £1.62 M prices. Make of this what you will - I have:

    First store
    Garlic & Herb at £3.25
Original possibly at £3.25 but not clear as SEL says "Crispy Chicken Grills" making me wonder is that the "Regular" Crispy Chicken or do they mean Light & Crunchy Breaded?
    Light & Crunchy Breaded at £1.62, possibly:rotfl:
Southern Fried Chicken - no trace but believed from other stores to be £1.62

    Second store
Southern Fried Chicken - yes it is £1.62
Original, marked as "Crispy Chicken Grills" £1.62 until 2/11.
    No trace of the others.
(The Chargrill ones are full price £3.25 but not believed to compare vs elsewhere.)

So...I think the Garlic & Herb is now full price (was £1.62 two weeks ago)
The Light and Crunchy Breaded - not sure, as not in the second store, and in doubt about whether the £1.62 is in relation to that at all as that was £1.62 two weeks ago like the Garlic & Herb and possibly is not now. But...I thought it was SFC and Light & Crunchy?
    Now, apparently SFC and Original:mad::rotfl:.

In short, I doubt T PP would pick up the Light & Crunchy as it appears only to be available in my smaller store (the first one), although you never know they may well have it from somewhere else. I think I last saw the Original at £1.62 for T on msm, so no good on T PP. Seems it may be just SFC therefore at £3.25 vs £1.62? Or - maybe not, as usual I haven't caught up with T's new prices yet so I don't know.

I'm having problems with the prices in M on the various 4 pack Birds Eye Chickens. But... leave me with these and I'll see if I can find out! (I need to be somewhere else tonight in any event, and there is an M nearby so I'll pop in and have a look on my way back. Watch another store be completely inconsistent with both of the other two and leave the situation even more unclear:mad::rotfl:.)

And..right, okay, the way the MSE system now works is that, if you are writing your post and it times out, it now goes to "message is too short" after you've logged in, so - best do all post preparations outside of MSE in future!:rotfl:

Gosh, this is a long post!!!!...:rotfl:
