  • Easy Jet now count the duty free bags towards your allowance, so you need to squeeze that into your carry on case too.

I can't say that I find the carry on cases that large myself. They are okay if you are going somewhere only for a long weekend, or even to somewhere you know is going to be hot so can pack shorts and t-shirts. But if you need a few pairs of jeans, a jumper or two as well as your own towels etc, then the carry on case it too small.

Oh dear I guess that is down to the individual crews or gate staff.
I can happily do a 2 week sun holiday on cabin luggage but usually come unstuck if I buy anything so post it home. But then I need very little if hotel has a hair dryer.
Emmap needs a few warm layers.

Think best flight ever was travelcitydirect when dd was crewing with them. Upgraded to 90kilos of luggage each. Those were the days:)
Mind you were were getting $2 to the pound so a mega trip.

When we were kids dad use to wear suit trousers and open collared shirt on beach but he did swim with us. Evenings on holiday full suit.
In later years he has moved with the times and polo shirts and shorts the norm. He has a passion for hats. One of his favourites was an English umpires cricket hat. Telling the lady in the shop he thought he might be called up to umpire:eek:
In the winter he has for several years worn a beanie type hat in bed to keep warm and permanently wears fingerless gloves.

Not long back from Kent, watching U2 and Sam Smith. Jolly entertaining evening.

But the tune that sticks on my mind was this one which was played as we exited

    Good morning all

I used to be on here about 2 years ago I think my name was DebS but real life got in the way and I have been a bit of a lurker since (and can't remember old login password etc). Thought it was about time I joined back in and started contributing :)

Just to mention that Bubbs' find from hukd about the Bourgeois make up isn't valid unfortunately as the op made a mistake with the brand. Sorry if it's already mentioned and thanks to Bubbs for continuing to post the deals :)

On the subject of travel and baggage allowances, I recently booked last minute flight to Alicante with Thomson and they only gave 5kg hand luggage. The return flight was a bargain £71 out of local airport so I wasn't about to lose my mse status and pay for a case so I wore everything that wouldn't fit in allowance.

    I had on:-
    Bra
    Bathers
    3 pairs of knickers
    2 pairs of socks
    1 pair leggings
    1 pair cargo pants
    2 strappy tops
    1 thin t shirt
    1 thicker t shirt
    1 sparkly oversized jumper
    1 dressy scarf
    1 sun hat
    1 pair sunglasses
    2 necklaces
    3 bracelets
    In cargo pants pockets:-
    1 mobile phone & charger
    1 purse
    All travel documents
    Bag of sweets
1 PDA & charger (had to be available to work whilst out there)
Carrier bag ready to put clothes in once through security

I managed very well for the 10 days
  • Good Morning, I've been lurking in these parts for a while & decided I needed to join in on all the fun!

    I've been reading quite a lot regarding AsPG & I like what you have been doing. A couple of a noob questions;
    1. Do you do a specific shop to maximse AsPG?
    2. Do you split your basket so you get a good compare to S M or T?

    Thanks

Morning lads and lasses and pets of all types :D

Going into work early today happy in the knowledge that I can have a small lie in tomorrow :j

Misery guts decides this morning to tell me that he doesn't think he can commit to the new plot, mainly because of lack of fresh water, which is fine for the plants but not for the chickens. We're going back on Saturday to see it in daylight proper so there'll be more opportunity to try and figure things out

    Happy shopping!
