Fantastic shop ... But pray tell me how you get to use the apg's

Are they more friendlier up your neck of the woods

If so I may need to move there

My local staff have a hissy fit if it's over £5
I have four or five regulars who now know me well and are happy to take anything I give them with a smile and we always have a wee chat. One of them even did the biccies a few months back and a couple of the JF oils when I told her about them. I have a lovely relationship with them all now and they always look in my trolley inquisitively every time I go to their till.

I have to admit though, I've been trouted once before and rather than get any grief, if one of my regulars is not there I just tend to use cash. I am in my local so many times over a month that my apgs never get the chance to expire. Saying that, I once had just under £160 worth of apgs waiting to be used  because none of my regulars had been in when I shopped for a week or so.

    Morning everyone.

Been reading the feed your family for about 20 a week on fbook. People are saying it's impossible to spend less than 70 quid a week  on food. My budget has been 65.00 for the month in October and I'm under that, got 80.00 in apgs to come! I think I'll have a no spend month on groceries in November.

My friend spends around 150 a week on herself, a 5 year old who has free school dinners, a baby and 4 cats. She knows this forum exists but does it anyway. Crazy.

I think about this a lot sparkly. We seem to have a huge amount of people who are unable to budget, shop, prepare and cook food. We also have a growing population of elderly people who can budget, shop, prepare and cook food but who live on their own.....many of whom are lonely:o

Wouldn't it be wonderful to marry up the two?

I bought risotto rice from a Lidl this week. 79p a kilo. That would make 10 meals if you added stock plus whatever you have in the fridge ....ham, a few prawns, mushrooms, peas, chicken, peppers, onions, anything really.

    When I retire.........:)

We need an almighty glitch- body shop and boots are you listening?!

Needs to be an online one though please because I don't plan on leaving my house again at any time today :rotfl:

Are you bothering with the Molton Brown on grabbit.....I'm so desperate to start my Christmas shopping, I admit I'm considering it. I really like to give nice stuff at Christmas and bargains are a bit scarce thus year
Has anyone has done this ....what would you recommend?
