I don't use ynab, but follow a similar plan using an app I downloaded. At the beginning of each month I transfer all money from 'wages' account to all our different current/savings accounts so I know exactly how much we have to spend from each 'pot'.
Starting a new debt free journey
    Starting Debt: £5,250
    Current Debt: £4,995.50
Amount Paid: £254.50 Percentage Paid: 4.84%

If you use YNAB, you can avoid having lots of individual savings accounts or envelopes as YNAB gives you categories to allocate the money to. I separate my current account from savings but that is it.
