Parking Charge Notice from WING Parking

Hi everyone, I received a parking charge notice from Wing Parking while I was parked on a council estate visiting a friend who lives there. Was just about to pay it today since it's been 13 days but decided to google the company first and came across this forum (lucky me!).

I've read the sticky and just wanted to make sure I was going to do the right thing here. Since it's from WING parking I shouldn't wait for the postal 'notice to keeper' letter and instead appeal after 21 days as the keeper using the template given in the thread?

I checked the wing website and they have taken photos of the car, the ticket and also the sign at the entrance of the car park. I can provide these if they are helpful? Also what is the success rate of appeals when dealing with WING?

Many thanks for your help and advice!

100% success of course - they will lose at POPLA but it's getting them there that is a faff! Yep I would either wait for the NTK (takes flippin' ages for Wing to write though) or you could send an earlier appeal (same version as in the Newbies thread) around day 21. This means they then get busy with the appeal and they overlook the fact you actually haven't appealed as driver. So they forget to send ANY Notice to Keeper at all = a slam dunk win for you in the end.

So on balance I think with Wing I would send it on day 21, and NOT wait for a silly rubbishy late NTK.

Also read other threads and be ready for the fact they make you jump through a second appeal stage via the Housing Assoc (same appeal as first time around, not naming the driver even if they pretend you must). To find other Wing threads just put that word in 'search this forum' next to 'forum tools' above the sticky threads.

  • OK thanks for the quick reply! I'll wait the 21 days and then appeal, thanks again for the help.
