there is a company called eenee who do a pad called a weenee pad (australian company) which sounds similar. Only the weenee pads can biodegrade and be put into a wormery. People seem to like the system for things like holidays and that but often clothies use it for trips out or holidays etc. If you would like more info on this version try contacting https://www.teamlollipop.co.uk and get in touch with your local advisor who should be able to clue you in on how the system works and a costing idea for using the disposable pads

they sound wierd only four nappy covers to begin with...
it's not like female sanitary products - babies don't wee downwards and in a straight line! i don't understand how this could work without lots of expense. What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -
my guess is that it's like a prefold but with a disposable inner rather than cloth but if you've got to wash the outer then why not just use normal prefolds
If we could see a pic it'd help understand them. 0 -
I saw a picture in the mothercare catalogue. It looks inside just like a pampers nappy with the extra inner lining to prevent leaking.... the washable or disposable pad sits inside the inner leak preventing lining of the washable outer pants.“…the ‘insatiability doctrine – we spend money we don’t have, on things we don’t need, to make impressions that don’t last, on people we don’t care about.” Professor Tim Jackson

people use them for when they go on holiday etc and dont want a bucket of wet nappies laying about. It means all they have to deal with is the wraps

Years and years ago (ds is nearly 8 now!) I did have a go at using the Weenies nappy system for a while.
The outer was a cotton/synthetic cover and as LittleMissEmmyLou said either disposable pads or prefolds were used. I found they didn't work brilliantly on my heavy wetting boy - any cover with cotton edging just wicked like mad! That included the Bambino Mio covers so I used to use what was know as Motherease (are they still known as that??) which is probably similar to the Onelife covers and that (which are Lollipop's brand now??)
I must admit I nearly fell off my chair when I followed the link and saw the expanded range that Mothercare now do which is a massive improvement from my day! I've used all sort of weird and wonderful things on DS in his youth! I'd be interested to hear of anyone who has experimented with this new system, but it sounds suspiciously like Weenies or something based on this, so it's nothing new IMO!
