Best way to use a tumble dryer?

I,ve been putting stuff on the airer over night, then 'finishing' in the tumble dryer. A 30 minute run usually sorts it rather than 75 mins from washing machine.
Will deff try the towel thing though - wish I could get rid of it all togther, but we,d drown under washing in a week.Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
£300/£1300 -
Might not work if yours is one that needs to go out the window but I justify mine ( condenser ) by having it in my bedroom and using it to warm the room as well as dry my clothes. I have to admit I am guilty of using it all year round, well worth the effort of hauling bags of washing up and down the close stairs, stressing about a spot of rain or a neighbours BBQ. A luxury well worth the money IMO. Out of interest does anyone know roughly how much one costs per hour?0

Some great tips here--I just wanted to say it sounds like you're in a tough but temporary situation. It is ok to use the tumble dryer--don't feel guilty about it!
I'd also suggest lying thick things flat on top (i.e. sweatshirts) as this can help them dry faster while another load is in the TD.0 -
Hurrah DS now has clean, dry clothes for tomorrow!!
I will start tackling Mount Washmore tomorrow morning and I suspect the washing machine and tumble dryer will be going most of the day but it will break the back of the washing
Blooming brilliant thing that tumble dryer :TWhether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
I echo the idea of the 'extra' spin whilst stuff is in the washing machine. I then usually just put stuff on for about 40 mins, 60 mins max but however long I time it for I then also leave the washing in the tumble after it's finished the cycle. I find that the residual heat in the drum lasts for a good hour or so and helps to dry things even more, I've paid for it, so I'm using it LOL!0
