Magic Pants!

Has anyone bought/worn "magic" pants for their wedding? I will be a bridesmaid in August and I would love my tummy to be a bit flatter and obviously avoid a V.P.L! :p

What I would like to know is-has anyone bought them or something similar from the internet? I think these look quite good (and cheap)

or would I be better going into a shop to try some on? (is this possible?) oh, and before I spend my hard-earned cash, do they work? I have seen some, on EBAY no less, going for £60!
why be a song, when you can be a symphony?

I haven't tried the most up-to-date design, but there are problems:

a)bits of you can 'escape' in surprising places, and

b)you can get quite severe stomach ache from being really squashed.

I would go with some basic flattening pants - my daughter thinks M&S are good, but don't be tempted to get anything really tight on the waist (see a) and b) above!).

You can often get good advice in M&S too, when I bought some the assistant said not to go with the really tight ones if you've never worn them before. She helped me choose and I ended up with ones that weren't really tight but still gave good support. And rather than have a tight stomach I had a tight chest!
Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

I would second the stomach ache bit:eek: Last Christmas do I went to I had to go up to our room and change to some normal undies!! The relief was wonderful!:T If you do decide to wear them, I would have a backup plan for later on in the day after the photos to maybe change into some nice ones. If you get sloggi ones they don't have VPL.
    Goodluck

Bought some cheap ones which rolled down so I ended up with a visible panty roll at my waist and my knees ended up an inch thicker!!!!!!!!
