For anybody chased by a dca and lowell in particular - revenge

On the 3rd of July I received a letter from Lowell about an alleged debt (approx £500) from Abbey National. I also had a letter from RED debt collections. The last time I had anything to do with Abbey was 13th April 2000. I did the panic bit but remembered you guys and got some advice from the board.

I knew that it was statute barred because the 14th of April 2000 was significant for me in two ways. 1, My brother passed out of RMA Sandhurst to begin a career of service to Her Majesty. 2, I was invited to spend a little time, care of Her Majesty. So it's a date I remember quite clearly.

Because of this, I had a little debt issue build up, the house was reposessed and all the associated debts followed.
Having returned to the world, I endeavoured to sort out my listed debts i.e. anybody who chose to get in touch, despite only having a minimum wage job, not being able to go back to the old profession.

With a little help from some DFW friends :T I cleared my debts last year and having retrained as a database developer, life is most definately back on track.

I had to respond to lowell so I sent a copy of the CCA letter to each of the company directors.

In fact, I sent the letters to their home addresses with royal mail track and trace. They were signed for around the 7th. These guys have now exceeded the first part of the 2+12+30 limit.

I am going to wait until the 30 day limit is out before I complain to the OFT.

I have all of the director's home addresses and telephone numbers. I won't post them directly unless Mr Bartle really upsets me (but if you want them you only have to ask);). Should they choose to send anybody round as threatened, I feel that a return visit is in order. I think that a few phone calls may be required; right in the middle of antiques roadshow or heartbeat might be good.

The lesson I hope they will learn is never upset a database administrator, we know who you are, we know where you live...

How do you think I should proceed?

can you post these addresses, as they should be public record at companies house, but you'd have to pay.

I have to say that sending items to someones home address would certainly get there attention although Im not sure if it would enforcable as you havent actually sent it to the registered companies address?

Im not 100% on this but I feel that it may have to sent officially to them as the Director may not have anything to do with the day to day running of the operation.

Good luck and let us know how it goes ;)
