Wedding dress from China?

My daughter is getting married next year and has seen and tried on several dresses both here and in the USA. All seem to hover around £1000 plus or minus.
The same dresses are advertised on the internet for £200-300. Mostly from China.
I guess the dresses in the shops here are mostly made overseas anyway and someone in a bridal shop here is making a tidy profit.
However I read some websites are fraudulent. Takee your monee and no sendee dress.
Is it worth the risk? I could be covered with my credit card company in any event....
Anyone had a good service from the far east?

Hi OP,
I'm not tech savvy enough to know how to do it but on page 2 of this board is a thread asking the same question. It has over 100 replies so you may find some good info on there?
Sorry I can't be any other help.0 -
It's not actually the same dress , it's a cheap copy. And yes I've heard of them not arriving at all so it's a risk.
Try monsoon, they have nice ones.0 -

Have seen some fab Chinese knockoffs on this site, but if you're looking for a giggle look at the examples here: http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/singaporeseen/this-urban-jungle/this-is-why-you-should-shop-online-with-caution#xtor=CS1-2
