You are correct in that the IFA advises on the investments that should be used. This may include secotor allocation and the choice of fund manager. However, the IFA is not responsible for the investment returns. They will be what they will be and its the fund manager/fund house that is responsible for those.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
