When do Christmas decorations generally go on sale (reduced)? As I live alone I don't generally bother with Christmas decorations but this year i've got family coming.

I know i'm going to be really annoyed having to buy the tree, lights, the whole shebang for the first time when straight after Christmas everything will be greatly reduced, so I was wondering how soon (if at all) BEFORE christmas day does this stuff go on sale?

Have a look on ebay, i picked up a lovely tree last year, should have been £200 got for £50, there are loads of cheaper ones, people are making way for new tree's etc, so you could pick up a bargain. That goes for any other decorations you need as well.

Charity shops tend to have very cheap trees from November when people decide to update their decorations. You can usually pick up a 4" tree for less than £3 and baubles are pennies, lights from B&M or Home Bargains and you are well away.
