CSCS Card Advice, URGENT!

Hello all. I have a few months work lined up as a LABORER. I'm told i need to get a CSCS card, i'm aware of them but haven't needed one yet. I am really struggling with which one i need, as i have various qualifications that may be speed up the process of getting one (instead of the H&S courses you need to take) as i need it urgently.
I have been an electrician in the past you see. I also have a GNVQ in engineering i acquired in school... Does that count as an NVQ? An NVQ is one of the requirements for one of the cards.
Here are my qualifications that may help me:
SCHOOL:
Intermediate GNVQ Engineer (PASS)
COLLEGE:
• Level 3 Certificate in Electro-technical Technology Installation (Buildings and Structures)
• City & Guilds (2391) Inspection, Testing and Certification of Installations Stage 3 (PASS)
• City & Guilds Principles of Electro-technology (PASS)
• City & Guilds Application of Health & Safety and Electrical principles (2330) (PASS)
• Level 3 Certificate in The Requirements For Electrical Installation (BS7671)
• City & Guilds (2381) 16th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (PASS)
I am so lost with what card i'm entitled too, i know it doesn't matter which one i get in terms of doing labor work, but time is a factor here. Any help would be really appreciated! Thank you.

Level 3 Certificate in The Requirements For Electrical Installation (BS7671)
City & Guilds (2381) 16th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (PASS)
These two are the same thing but out of date, replaced by BS7671 2008-rev1 2011 (green book).
If you have worked as an electrician, your trade papers with the level 3 certs may get you a gold card.

You will always need the Health & Safety test pass, regardless of the level of card.
Have you contacted CITB to ask them about your qualifications?
For the labourer card, you will need to complete the one day Site Safety Plus course (look on their website for when & where) or the approx. 1 week Level 1 Award in H&S in a Construction Environment.
You will have to also do the Health & SAfety test, you cannot get out of this.0 -
All the people I know who work in the construction industry just have the basic green CSCS card.
It is just a tool to get you on to the site (I have one, but found that on the 5 sites I worked on only 1 even wanted to see my CSCS card. The others didn't subscribe to the scheme due to the fact it is purely voluntary rather than a compulsory scheme).Never Knowingly Understood.

It is voluntary but you will find that almost all of the major sites, especially with the major housebuilders have signed up to the scheme and you wont get on site without a card. I have a regular visitor card just to get on site as a visitor, let alone working on site.
The General Operative card has been replaced by the Labourer card (round in circles we go) and the rules tightened on how to get it.0 -
I got my green card in Feb. this year, so will assume it has changed since then.Never Knowingly Understood.
