Hello all,
I am organising an event in April and I am planning to buy all the alcohol in December to capitalise on the Christmas discounts.
What is the best way to identify when and where the best deals will be on larger, bitter and cider?
It won't matter much what brands I buy. The event is going to last a weekend and as host I need to ensure enough supply so we don't run out!
Additionally someone advised me that you can purchase boxed beer or barrels of bright from the breweries for about a pound a pint, but trawling about online I don't see it.
And advice appreciated.

Just get it all from Aldi or Lidl where it will be cheap all year round although it's probably best to buy before the March budget. For example Aldi do St. Etienne lager which is 4.8% alcohol and costs £2.90 for 4 cans. The big supermarkets can't compete with that sort of price.
If you are not keen on Aldi/Lidl then keep an eye on the bargains posted on Hot Uk Deals.

Buying draught beer online will be expensive because of the delivery cost. You'd be better off finding a local brewery and collecting it yourself0
