    Ha,ha, ha......
I have read this page over, and over...for the first time I looked to the right hand side of the screen and saw that the genre is 'platform game' Thank you!

So, now to work out the theme. Any suggestions?

What age is your son? Does he have a handicap or disability? I ask because most 18 year olds, 16 at best, really ought to have the straightforward intelligence and application to find out for themselves.

'Helping' a child is acceptable. Telling a child what 'theme' or 'genre' something is is very worrying.

Thank you for your concern, but the information was for me !
I couldn't get my head around the difference between the two meanings ... theme and genre.

My son has it sorted, but is getting irritated by me so I thought that I would ask the experts on here.
I am over 18 and of average intelligence, but have zero knowledge of gaming terminology.

Now if it was a shooter or strategy game I would recognise that as the theme (or is it genre ?) Dashing around an 'obstacle course' trying to complete a level without being killed isn't quite as succinct as say, horror or puzzle. I was just wondering if there was a more appropriate answer.

    thanks
