Can a reletive be a advisor in a meeting?

Can a father be a advisor in a disclapinary meeting of his daughter. As I have I good knowledge of the case in question and previous errors from a company that I also had input with I feel I can be a better advisor than a work colleague for example, as there is no union membership here too I can win this disclapinary as I have done on 2 previous occasions (but was not present)

I'm not being clever or big headed but I feel I know whats what here.
All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.

Unless you are a work colleague or an accredited trades union representative - not unless the employer agrees.

What does the disciplinary procedure say about who can be a representative?

We used to allow it very occasionally, but it didn't usually work out too well for the person. One of the good things about a rep is that they bring a degree of impartiality. A family member may be too emotionally involved.

TBH I knew what the reply was going to be but thought there would be a way round it.

What if your daughter has 'mental issues' we are talking here anxiety, depression for example.

If this can be evidenced as severe she may be able to ask for an independent person to accompany her - but this is still up to the employer to agree as a reasonable adjustment. Which means we are talking about an evidenced disability that didn't suddenly appear when disciplined. And it still probably wouldn't be you! There are only a few ways around it - and not one of them would apply here. I don't even need to know what the case is to know that. Because you would be asking a very different question if any such circumstance existed.

I am sorry but this is a pretty iron clad situation and few employers would ever agree to anything beyond the legal right. No harm in asking, but expect a no.
