Unfortunately, there is no simple answer to this question. I think under mutuality of obligation you should be paid while suspended! but agree with Another not new user has said....don't rock the boat as they can stop offering you any work. Which it would be legal for them to do.
But, if the Employer regularises the arrangement with a worker and undertakes to provide them with work on specified days and at specified times of the week, on the understanding (accepted by the individual) that they will present themselves for work on those days and at those times, the chances are that the relationship between the employer and the worker in the eyes of a tribunal.. would change to that of employer and employee.
There are other factors that need to be taken into account in determining employee status.
How long have you been bank? what is your job role? thanks to you both.
l have worked there 2years, as bank. they pay me holiday each month, on what l have worked, so no holiday to take.
lm afraid lm prepared to rock the boat a little, as l feel my employers havent supported me very well throughout this ordeal. seeing as l give them as many hours they want, and rarely say no, even at short notice.
l am just a number to them. l know l am good at my job, but dont feel very valued at the moment0
